Sugar Fast Day 5
We’re at day 5! Today I feel the need to slow down even more. I understand the necessity to do so. Let’s not only slow down and be present with what food we put into our bodies, let’s also allow that slowing down to pour over into our existence. We are in the time of Lent, a time to slow down… a time to become hyper-aware of what’s going on inside and around you… a time to reflect. And whether you are allowing this fast to coincide with Lent or not, this slowing is what organically begins to happen when you become mindful again of every move you make with food, especially sugar.
So today I encourage you to simply slow down. Enjoy the delicious, nutritious food that we are so blessed to be able to put into our bodies. Enjoy your beautiful little whining children pulling on your leg. Take a moment when you first wake up or before you head to bed to sit in silence and listen. Welcome a smile on your face for no reason at all. Appreciate what is right in front of you, while it is there. Don’t rush. Don’t miss out on all that’s going on right in front of you. Breathe and be present.
As I slow down today, I feel like I can do this. I know I can. Today I believe in myself. And I believe in you too. Blessings you Gnarly Faster!
