Sugar Fast Day 40

And just like that we’re at Day 40.

Wow! I don’t know about you, but there are so many emotions coursing through my mind, body, and soul right now. I’m excited and thankful that we’ve made it to this 40th day, but there’s also a bit of a sadness hovering over me. I’ve always had a rough time with endings and have so enjoyed this time of growth and transformation with all of you. I’m also feeling a bit nervous of what’s to come from here on out. How about you? How are you feeling today on this last day of our 40-Day Sugar Fast Adventure?

Whatever it is that you may be experiencing today, I want to remind you of the same thing Wendy Speake reminds us of in the devotional that has led me throughout this fast. She says, “Don’t get tied up with the affairs of everyday life again!” This is such a guiding light to me. Don’t get caught up in the minutia and the teeny details and the bs that doesn’t even matter at the end of the day! Don’t slip back into the same old patterns and habits that will lead you down a path of destruction once again! This may be the end of our sugar fast, but allow it to be the beginning of something else that is great.
