Sugar Fast Day 16

We’re a little over two weeks into this sugar fast now! Before you know it, we’ll be at the halfway mark.

Today is a reminder that sugar isn’t bad. How we handle the sugar in our diets isn’t good or bad. We don’t want to start to go down a path that leads us to a negative or dysfunctional relationship with food. To do this, we always want to come from a place of awareness. Sugar in healthy doses is not a bad thing at all. Especially those natural sugars found in delicious nutrient-rich fruit. Or the sweet, decadence of honey. Honey is packed with lots that is good for your body… and soul.

So, as we continue to fast from sugar, don’t allow it to become the enemy. That can begin to create an unrealistic and unhealthy relationship with sugar that can take you down a path of destruction later on. Now is the time to fast. Now is the time to be aware, and explore the innermost recesses of your soul. Now is the time to try to forge a new, healthy relationship with sugar and all of its temptations. What is important is that you begin to eat what you need, what fuels and nurtures your body. At the core of it, there is nothing wrong with sugar. The crucial component is that you are cautious and careful about what you eat and the reason you are eating it.

You can do this!!
